Linkage Community Trust, Lincolnshire’s leading charity providing support for young adults with learning disabilities, enjoyed its best ever entry numbers for the University of Lincoln Santa Fun Run on Sunday 17th December. Over 130 clients, students, staff and friends took to the uphill cobbles to support the local charity – the best turn out since the Trust has taken part in the city landmark event!
So far Linkage has raised a confirmed sponsorship amount of £3000 thanks to the runners and walkers of Team Linkage – but that figure is set to increase even further still as sponsors collect their remaining donations for the team.
Mark Commons, Head of Business Development & Marketing at Linkage commented, “What a great morning we had in Lincoln! We wore our own Team Linkage purple Santa hats, and even built a special Christmas Trike to complete the course with. The crowds cheered on Team Linkage, and it was wonderful to see so many people supporting both the event and our students and clients. We are extremely grateful for everyone’s sponsorship and donations. Here’s to 2018!”
